The ordination and the first holy mass of Friar Prince Illinilkumthadathil OFM Conv., was held on Saturday, August 03, 2019 in his home parish St. Joseph’s Church, Varakkad. The ordination ceremony began at 9:00 am. A reception was arranged for the Bishop and Friar Prince. At the beginning of the liturgy, Fr. Philip Chennatt, the parish priest welcomed all.  Friar Prince Illinilkumthadathil was raised to the holy order of priesthood with the imposition of hands by his Excellency Mar. George Narjalakkad, the Bishop of Tellichery Arch Diocese. Friar Leo Payyappilly and Simon Elinjeli were the arch deacons. There after   Fr. Prince Illinilkumthadathil celebrated his first Holy Qurbana at the altar of the Lord thanking and praying for the intentions of his family, the Conventual Order and his parishioners. After the first thanksgiving mass he expressed his words of gratitude towards all who helped him to be at the altar of the Lord in one way or the other way. Soon after the function all the faithful had the occasion to greet the newly ordained priest and receive the blessings in kissing the embalmed hands. The ceremony ended with an agape.
