The ordination and the first holy mass of Friar Senet Kanjiraparambil OFM Conv., was held on Monday, August 12, 2019 in his home parish St. Joseph’s Church, Mambra. The ordination ceremony began at 9:00 am. A reception was arranged for the Bishop and Friar Senet. At the beginning of the liturgy, Fr. John Thottupuram, the parish priest welcomed all.  Friar Senet Kanjiraparambil was raised to the holy order of priesthood with the imposition of hands by his Excellency Mar. Jose Puthenveettil the Auxiliary Bishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly Arch Diocese. Friar Leo Payyappilly and Martin Pallikkara were the arch deacons. There after   Fr. Senet Kanjiraparambil celebrated his first Holy Qurbana at the altar of the Lord thanking and praying for the intentions of the people who affected the Sri Lankan terror attack, the Conventual Order and his parishioners. After the first thanksgiving mass he expressed his words of gratitude towards all who helped him to be at the altar of the Lord in one way or the other way. Soon after the function all the faithful had the occasion to greet the newly ordained priest and receive the blessings in kissing the embalmed hands. The ceremony ended with an agape.
